Scottish Basket Hilt Letter Opener

The Scottish Basket-Hilt Sword, evoking images of kilted highlanders raging into battle, served the clansman well for the 17th Century on, and is still carried by officers of Scottish regiments to this day. This letter opener is part of a series of six historical designs that are replicated from swords in museum collections.
