Robin Hood (Robyn Hode in earlier manuscripts) was a heroic outlaw from English folklore. He is traditionally associated with "robbing from the rich to give to the poor" and was both an excellent archer and swordsman. There are many legends surrounding him, the most popular of which sees him fighting the Sheriff of Nottingham and evil Prince John whilst King Richard was away fighting in the Crusades. The Robin Hood Dagger is constructed in the world famous Art Gladius sword factory in Toledo, Spain. Toledo has a reputation for producing some of the finest swords in Europe and has been the centre of sword production for centuries. It is styled on the “Locksley Sword” from the movie Robin Hood – Prince of Thieves. The cross shaped pommel is featured on the matching “Robin Hood Sword” which can also be found on our site. The stainless steel blade is etched with heraldic patterns and housed in a decorated leather effect sheath
